Why Garden Girl Teas?
Are you suffering from health issues that are impacting your daily living and you do not want to be subjected to prescription drugs?
Garden Girl Teas are made with handcrafted organic herbs to allow you more control over what you are putting into your body. Our herbs are tasty and provide a healthier and safer supportive option than modern medicine.
Before there was modern day medicine there was herbalism. Herbalism has been connected to the history of medicine since the beginning of time. Modern medicine has been based on evidence gathered using a scientific method. Evidence based use of pharmaceutical drugs, often derived from medicinal plants, and has largely replaced herbal treatments in health care. However, many people continue to utilize various forms of traditional or alternative medicine that often have herbal components.
Our loose teas are blended to support specific health issue, giving you more power over your health, allowing natural plant based alternative options and providing you with blends that are designed with the importance of you and your specific needs in mind.

How it all began
Garden Girl Teas was created by Teologist, Luwana Staley
For the majority of her life, Luwana suffered with Crohn’s disease. She saw many doctors and tried many modern-day medications. One day Luwana experienced an unbearable abdominal pain that she had never experienced. The pain was so bad that she did not think she was going to make it. After seeing many doctors, numerous emergency room visits and years of living with excruciating pain she decided to begin looking into alternative wellness options. Luwana changed her diet to a plant-based vegan diet and began utilizing herbs as a natural and holistic option that allowed her to eliminate the symptoms and pain she had experienced for most of her life, gain more control over her life and body, and allowed her to create delicious healing blends.
After seeing the change, others would often ask Luwana for suggestions about different herbs. Luwana’s love of creating herbal blends grew and grew. Recognizing that some wanted to utilize healthier options as well, Luwana decided to study herbalism to become an herbalist. After completing courses Luwana began to share her blends with the world and Garden Girl Teas was born.
Luwana was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is a Master Herbalist and has a master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
